Had very enjoyable stay on both nights of our stay, the staff were EFFICIENT, location was incredible on the square. Location: the hotel was really close to a delightful Rutland market town, an excellent establishment and the theatre prior to going to the Crown Inn. Furthermore, it was not very far from Peter Barker Fine Art.

comfortable stay but quirky features may surprise you
The check-in process was friendly and informal. The location in the town center was perfect for exploring, and we appreciated the comfortable ambiance of our room.
The room's unique features are charming, but some may find them a bit too quirky.

Just returned from a lovely stay! I really enjoyed the soft mattress in room 5 and the hearty English breakfast. There was some grease on my dish and the shower was a bit snug, but it didn’t put a damper on my experience. Recommended for a cozy getaway! 😊

The comfortable room was unfortunately noisy due to late-night pub activity.

The upstairs bar offers a lively atmosphere and a solid selection of local ales. The double room features nice touches like complimentary bottled water and a cozy ambiance.
If you're in room 4 on a karaoke night, prepare for some late-night tunes that might keep you up unless you bring earplugs. The shower could be a tight fit, and although the breakfast had potential, the grease level left something to be desired. Plus, some cleaning details seem overlooked-the common areas weren't exactly sparkling, and the back stairs had a noticeable odor. Delays in service during busy times were felt, particularly at breakfast where we waited a while before getting the menu. Not the worst experience, but certainly room for improvement.

It was just a proper fit for a short break in Uppingham with good value for cost. Enjoyed the tasty breakfast, though the sausages were a bit over-done. If it's karaoke night, maybe pick a room away from the noise.
